My House in Umbria
Aroview: Maggie Smith centres this superior telemovie, playing an ex-pat romance novelist whose life in Italy is disturbed when she is caught up in a terrorist attack on a train sometime in the 1970s.
Inviting fellow passengers back to her villa to heal provides the opportunity for solace and friendship, and a gradual confrontation with the truths of her deceptively happy life. Based on a short novel by William Trevor.

4 stars (Very Good) When a terrorist bomb detonates on a countryside train-trip, killing a handful of passengers, the surviving strangers are invited to recuperate at the villa of an eccentric but kindly romance novelist. Heart-warming and beautifully shot. ~GenXGirl
