Luther
Aroview: Fiennes has an appropriate gleam in his eye playing Martin Luther, the monk whose 16th century gamble to challenge the Roman Catholic orthodoxy changed the world.
Lumbering a little under the effort of weaving in the circumstances of Luther's background, German politics, and the specifics of the Reformation (plus a spot of romance) into the story, this still adequately performs its biographical function. Visually interesting, with good support cast, including Ustinov, shining in one of his last starring roles.
