Aroview: A dramatization of the rise and fall of dandy NY nightclub promoter Michael Alig, who murdered one of his acolytes in the late 1980s, this depicts the same events documented in the director's "shock-u-mentary" of the same name.

Macaulay Culkin is less-than-convincing as the charismatic narcissist who thinks he can get away with anything, but Seth Green pouts magnificently as his camp sidekick James St. James (who wrote the memoir on which the films are based) and the costume department surely exceed the real thing.

3 stars (Good Enough) Its different which is half the battle and its never boring. The make up department have a field day and the wardrobe people are either fully stretched or hardly employed. ~Tubbs
