Aroview: The RING remake cycle moves onto the next installment in dir. Nakata's fable of the lethal videotape, with Watts again returning to this time destroy the offending VHS cassette, unfortunately unleashing a vengeful spirit.

Holed up in an isolated new home in backwoods Oregon, Watts and her son run a gamut of second-rate scares, including a herd of murderous deer (!). This has been mostly slated by critics, and they're mostly correct, yet the overall lack of logic has a loopy attraction all its own.
