Aroview: The fetching Hilary Duff plays an aspiring young singer from Arizona, who after the tragic death of her brother, elopes to a music-training camp in Los Angeles to gain a foothold on realising her dreams.

Finding her fellow students a mixed bunch, she struggles, but a happy ending is virtually guaranteed from the opening frame. Soft-centred, with a good line in 'Pop Idol' -style music.

2 stars (Good Try) Although the tunes are a bit bland the cast seem to enjoy playing them and Hilary makes the rest of the proceedings watchable. ~Tubbs
