Tyrannosaur (2011): Outstanding, memorable movie in the style of Ken Loach. Gripping performances by Olivia Coleman & Peter Mullan. Gritty and grim but real ... and subject matter that we should not avoid.
Nobody Knows (Dare mo shiranai) (2004): A superb, thoughtful and beautifully–paced movie, that I can\'t believed I missed when it was released.
CloudStreet (TV Mini-series) (2011): An outstanding series! Stunning character portrayals and brilliantly directed and filmed.
Tulpan (2008): This film is a treasure! Unique landscape and living circumstances of these people. The plot was charming and amazing that most characters were non–actors. Note the youngest cast member – the director just let him happen!! A brilliant feat.
Disappearance of Alice Creed, The (2009): A clever little movie. Wonderfully unpredictable with split second twists and timing that has you sitting on the edge of your seat again and again... It deserved wider cinema viewing than it got.
Visitor, The (2007): One of my favourite films of all time. Subtle yet powerful. Richard Jenkins\'s performance deserved an Oscar.
Choir, The (2007): This is an outstanding and memorable movie. Realistic and uplifting without falling into schmaltz.
A Good Man (2009): An inspiring story (and a superbly directed documentary) about a remarkable man, human resilience and restores faith in humankind. Highly recommended.
