Proposition, The (2005): Beautifully shot brutality. In the greater part, taciturn. One almost begs for the ultimately predictable ending.; DVD ~~$19.95~~ $14.95
We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011): Disturbingly intimate portrayal of the disconnected. Swinton perfectly cast, is compelling. Stark, emotionally isolated visuals and vignettes convey both emotion and meaning within the confines of the character\'s ability to express herself.
Sessions, The (2012): Ultimately shallow. Most interesting wld have been the reconciliation btwn religion & choices made & the diffs btwn priest & writer. Sadly unexplored. Sex–thing itself tastefully handled, but predictable & uninteresting by comparison.
Human Centipede, The (2009): Despite the hype, kind of stock–standard B–grade horror. Not that there\'s ever been anything wrong with that.
