Raw (Grave) (2016): I'm loving everything Julia Ducournau does.
Victor Frankenstein (2015): Felt more like television than cinema.
Night House, The (2020): The first two acts of this film were great! Genuinely scary moments, loved Rebecca Hall's take on grieving and giving no shits about anything. But it all kinda fell flat in the end. If you like a touch of romance with your ghost stories, check this out.
Like Stars on Earth (Taare Zameen Par) (2007): 155 minutes and yet I watched it all in one sitting. Beautiful film. Little bit of melodrama at times. The songs were great.
Cinemania (2002): Watching movies is anti–capitalist. No, this wasn't a movie this was a mirror.
Old Boy (Oldboy) (2004): No one told me this is a comedy! It's a little bit overhyped (where were all the twists?) but an enjoyable film nonetheless.
A Field in England (2013): I didn't understand a lick of this and I'm not sure subtitles would have helped.
Eyes Without a Face (Yeux sans visage, Les) (1960): Retains its eeriness 62 years later
Altered States (1980): Mind–bending body horror which unfortunately is starting to age. Had I watched this with friends there's no doubt we would have been laughing at the numerous campy moments. The special effects hold up well.
Surf Nazis Must Die (1986): Confusing and too long dispite only being 80 minutes. Had its moments. Best viewed with friends and drinks.
