Tokyo Tribe (2014): Although it doesn't better its early "Blade Runner" street scene, it is never boring.
Where Angels Fear to Tread (1991): Giovanni Guidelli doesn't quite fit, but otherwise Judy Davis stands out in a strong cast. Well produced.
Peter and Paul (1981): Another biblical slog, but there is some interest in searching for the interesting male cast behind the growth.
400 Blows, The (1959): The screenplay is believable and without melodrama. The first half in particular has plenty of 50's Paris streets location shooting, which I would never complain about.
Bigger than the Sky (2005): Not great, but it has some better moments if you have the patience.
Guys and Dolls (1955): Overall, the musical numbers were not too bad, but we could have done with a bit less of what was in between.
Bay of Angels (La baie des anges) (1963): The screenplay is strongest in its first half, but it holds to its main anti–gambling message throughout.
Looking for Hortense (2012): Not my kind of screenplay, but Jean–Pierre and Kristin have a strong screen presence.
Few Days in September, A (Quelques jours en septembre) (2006): The screenplay didn't take off despite Binoche and Turturro. Nolte appeared briefly, but I couldn't work out a word he said.
Educating Rita (1983): The second half weakens a bit, but the two performers could never be boring.; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
