Great Race, The (1965): Some footage, particularly those with Lemmon's double, could have been cut to bring the running time to a more sensible length. The barroom brawl is a classic. Wynn and Falk provide relief and an alternative to Curtis and Lemmon.
Back to Burgundy (Ce qui nous lie) (2017): Except for some squabbling and bickering, it is an easy to watch feel good film.
Heiresses, The (2018): Solidly made and performed but the screenplay was uninspiring and it was hard to maintain interest.; DVD $29.95
Altitude (2010): Aka "The High and the Flighty".; Blu-Ray $24.95
Duplicity (2009): My second viewing and although the writer/director has good credentials this just doesn't work as well as it should. Although there is Tom Wilkinson's talent in support the Roberts/Owen lead combo is not strong enough to carry it through
Extracted (2012): A good plot idea but the ordinary performances do not help in its execution.
Phantom Empire, The (1935): An entertaining smorgasbord. Everything looks wonderfully cheap.
Edwin: My Life as a Koont (2013): John Clarke, you are sorely missed.
Through the Olive Trees (1994): A screenplay in which very little happens but it is all done so well in the hands of a master.
Vexille (2007): The animation style was okay but not my favourite but the screenplay is intelligent.
