Would I Lie to You Again? (2001)
Harmless – the content and the performances are very light.
Secret Garden, The (2020)
It takes a while to find the Garden and then they don't spend too much time in it.
Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor, aka. Nightwatch) (2004)
Not as good as the first time I saw it on the big screen 15 years before but worth a try on DVD.- Blu-Ray $29.95, $44.95
Scent of Green Papaya, The (1993)
The scenes of the 10–year–old Mui (Man San Lu) are the strongest. The wonderful photography captures her beautiful, innocent, inquisitive face. The comparison with the two well off potentially psychopathic sons is well done. The soundtrack is distinctive.
Knight and Day (2010)
Cruise has a nose for this kind of role.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954)
Based on a timeless tale it is well produced, cast, and filmed.
Moulin Rouge (1952)
The dancing segments are great but there are long periods without any.
Orlando (1992)
The production was immaculate and Tilda handled everything that was thrown at her and him with aplomb.
Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith, The (1978)
It doesn't maintain the strength of the first 40 minutes or so in which it really hits hard with some political punches. The segment featuring Ray Barrett is the most memorable as is his performance.
Greed (2019)
Michael Winterbottom has done much better. The big challenge watching this is tolerating the characters.
