Dick Turpin (TV Series)Dick Turpin (TV Series) (1979)
3 stars (Good Enough) Has aged surprisingly well. The acting is passable with engaging characters that endure throughout the series. There is enough swashbuckling, moonlit highway robberies, and large breasted women in taverns to keep you entertained.
Bloodsucking FreaksBloodsucking Freaks (1978)
3 stars (Good Enough) Legendary outrageous torture porn. Approach with caution.
Day of the DeadDay of the Dead (1985)Aro Favourite
4 stars (Very Good) Romero classic.
RushRush (2013)Recommended
4 stars (Very Good) Great casting and direction effectively illustrates a thrilling true story, and the insane danger of formula 1 racing at the time.
LizzieLizzie (2018)
3 stars (Good Enough) An engrossing character–driven thriller.
Captain Kronos, Vampire HunterCaptain Kronos, Vampire Hunter (1972)
4 stars (Very Good) Probably Hammer's most fun outing with loads of vampire lore, great performances by Janson and Caroline Munro, and some good swashbuckling. Excellent popcorn film.
Two Evil EyesTwo Evil Eyes (1991)
1 star (Turkey) With two heavyweight names like Argento and Romero, I expected a lot better. Bad even by made–for–tv standards. Even Adrienne Barbeau is spectacularly awful.
Cabin in the Woods, TheCabin in the Woods, The (2011)Recommended
4 stars (Very Good) The more you recognize the constant horror references, the more fun it is. Doesn't take itself seriously, and if you can leave your brain at the door, there is loads of fun to be had here.
Grudge, TheGrudge, The (2004)
3 stars (Good Enough) Not a patch on the original, but still worth a watch.
Changeling, TheChangeling, The (1979)Recommended
4 stars (Very Good) Not so much a horror, but a sad character–driven ghost story, and is all the better for it.
