On the Basis of Sex (2018)
The screenplay was a bit dry at times but the Equal Rights court hearing was interesting before it ended Hollywood style.
Soft Fruit (1999)
Not all of it but enough of it works in an Aussie kind of way. At least it is a little different.
Flamingo Kid, The (1984)
Watching it 36 years later it still has some appeal because of its 1960's settings. The soundtrack is a plus.
All Apologies: Kurt Cobain (2005)
The documentary does a reasonable job – there is some good concert footage and interviews.
Man's Favorite Sport? (1964)
Although it is too long for its material there are some worthwhile comedy moments.
Happy Death Day 2U (2019)
It is okay but so are the many others that it is derived from.
Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The (2004)
Although the screenplay is uneven it at least is unusual. The art work and set designs are the big plus.
Last Chance Harvey (2008)
Including those in supporting roles there is nothing wrong with the casting or performances but the screenplay raises the question "why did they bother?"
Overlord (2018)
It takes a while to warm up but when it does it is all on. Great work by the make–up people but the walking dead segments are a repeat of what has been done elsewhere.
Fire Ice and Dynamite (1990)
There are some terrific stunts and it is entertaining.
