Back to Burgundy (Ce qui nous lie) (2017): 4/5 – Good insight about wine making culture; relevant to NZ intent to create great wines.
Tokyo Story (1953): 4/5 – Nicely told everyday Japanese people story, pre–influence of american culture era. Noticeable static camera work at tatami level.
Merchant of Venice, The (2004): 4/5 – Pacino 10/10. Sumptuous treatment.

Scandal (Shubun) (1950): 4/5 – Excellent lesser Kurosawa. Still Relevant 75 years later. The disease of post–WW2 American influence goes on with current social media tycoons taking the relay.
Secret in Their Eyes, The (El Secreto de sus Ojos) (2009): 4/5 – A real nugget.
Milk of Sorrow, The (La Teta Asustada) (2009): 3/5 – Agreed, the funding came from EU, so as hinted below, it didn't need to please an US audience. Good movie, extending horizons.
