Butterfly on a Wheel (2007)
So so viewing – not bad but nothing special.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
They've given the wardrobe a light dusting, patched up the laser holes and churned out another actioner under the label of science fiction. The special effects are as usual impressive.
Burn After Reading (2008)
Terrific script backed up with the right casting & from major to small parts they deliver their lines to effect. The quality of the support cast makes a difference & the scenes featuring JK Simmons with David Rasche are classic. Another Cohen Bros ripper.
Alice in the Cities (1974)
The standout is the relationship between the journalist & kid developing with little sentimentality – entirely believable. The second standout was Canned Heat on the jukebox "On the Road Again" – & along with worn props & locations fitted in perfectly.
Goldstone (2016)
It is nothing out of the ordinary screenplay wise and its not too original but it is watchable.
Postman, The (1998)
This is long even for a Costner project. Patton is a reasonable nutter.
Accountant, The (2016)
The casting of JK Simmons and John Lithgow helps the interest level which struggles with a lack of tightness in the screenplay.
Storks (2016)
A combination of babies and storks are a good basis for entertainment as long as they are animated.
Burn Burn Burn (2016)
A very good supporting cast but the screenplay has been done before more or less.
Hannah and Her Sisters (1986)
Don't these people ever stop talking and whining? Allen correctly cast as the neurotic. Has a compulsory jazz score.
