Getaway, The (1993): Seems to go out of its way to be violent. Hoping for better especially with this more than useful cast.
Blood Father (2016): A tired script a tired screenplay – everything is exciting but tired.
Party Monster (2003): Its different which is half the battle and its never boring. The make up department have a field day and the wardrobe people are either fully stretched or hardly employed.
Boy, The (2016): It tries hard but in the final analysis the screenplay doesn't really break any new ground.
Black Cauldron, The (1985): Solid animation tale with some good characters in the supporting roles.
Daughter, The (2015): The screenplay was a bit stodgy – didn't think much of Odessa Young but Geoffrey Rush as usual added a bit of class.
First Monday in May, The (2016): It is a chance to view people from another planet. You feel privileged.
Boss, The (2016): A weak script exemplified by the desperate need to insert some grubby segments.
Inferno (2016): Another paint by numbers saving the world "thriller" – however with Hanks in charge there is little suspense as you know that the world will be saved.
A Perfect Day (2015): It reminds me of "No Man's Land" (2001). It has the right balance between drama and comedy and although the three leads help to make it work you cannot escape the feeling that the key is Del Toro's wonderful weary performance.
