Orphan (2009)
These horror films should be about 80 mins. otherwise there is a problem maintaining the suspense. This one also needed to reign in the violence as its excess became a turn off.
Second Time Around, The (1961)
A light comedy that you cannot dislike – Debbie is very good and stands up to the physical demands of the comedy very well.
Absolutely Anything (2015)
Pegg is a good choice but the material does get a bit repetitive. However the animated characters breathe a bit of life into events when things start to lag.
Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan (1982)
A bit dated 35 years on but still watchable mainly because of the family of characters that was established in the TV series.
Valkyrie (2008)
There is acting talent to burn here plus there is Tom Cruise. There was a chance to kill him off in the first scene but the talented Bernard Hill paid the price instead. Excellent production values.
Friends with Benefits (2011)
Infantile
Bad Moms (2016)
Its watchable as parts of it were okay but the comedy overall was forced – just like hearing false laughter at the boss's jokes.
Love & Friendship (Love and Friendship) (2016)
It is heavy on dialogue which is heavy more than witty but the performances are fine and the wardrobe and set designs are spot on.
Orca (The Killer Whale) (1977)
The Orca segments (literally) looked authentic. I found nothing wrong with Orca sticking its nose into other people's business (boats) and was a good way of getting the message across to those bastards that hunt whales.
Clash by Night (1952)
The acting by a more than capable cast is fine and handle the screenplay – which is not too intricate – with ease.
