Aroview: Cult American director Whit Stillman helms this sparkling adaptation of a lesser known Jane Austen novella called “Lady Susan”, believed to have been written in the mid-1790s but finally published by her nephew in 1871.

Kate Beckinsdale is in fine form as the titular character, a silver-tongued libertine and recent widow, who plays a self-serving matchmaker for herself and her daughter.
