Outsiders, The (1983): Most aspects of the film have dated 35 years on but it still has value as a time capsule. Great soundtrack.
Bad Girls From Valley High (A Fate Totally Worse Than Death) (2000): Its silly but still entertaining. Janet Leigh pops up but the real icing on the cake is the ever reliable Christopher Lloyd.
Shooter (2007): Barbara is as usual fine in this modest screenplay but the highlight is the stunning black and white photography.
All I Desire (1953): Barbara is as usual fine in this modest screenplay but the highlight is the stunning black and white photography.
Lions for Lambs (2007): The screenplay needs patience and is a good attempt but the worthiness of the subject matter is not helped by the casting of Cruise who is hard to take seriously.
Elvis & Nixon (Elvis and Nixon) (2016): Not a bad plot idea but its a bit flat in its presentation which is surprising considering the casting.
28 Days (1999): Possibly made with good intentions regarding rehab. Sandra is okay but what makes it watchable is very good supporting cast.
Date Night (2010): I saw this too early in the day to have a stiff drink but its harmless and it looks as if the cast enjoyed making it.
Big Sur (2013): The screenplay was a bit flat and difficult to follow at times but the location shooting was something else.
Everybody Wants Some! (2016): A good music score and some fresh faces but its just another college film with the usual immature characters.
