Life (1999)
The two leads are in good form and the period details are well done.
Picture Perfect (1997)
Jay Mohr wasn't very good but its not a bad support cast with Olympia Dukakis and Illeana Douglas. Another rom/com.
Victor Victoria (1982)
The musical side was a bit ordinary. The plot was overlong but had some good comedic moments. Lesley Ann Warren enjoys herself.
Cimarron (1931)
The acting is dated 80 plus years on but the set designs in the land rush scenes and those of the boom town are excellent.
Getaway, The (1972)
The exterior locations were well done.Throughout the film there were some good segments but overall it needed a bit of restraint in the violence department and length. Have reduced the rating because of the unnecessary violence against the women.
Can't Hardly Wait (1998)
Ordinary script even for the genre – one good dance scene – has trouble finding an ending.
Pitch Perfect (2012)
What lets this down is the music – the tunes are so bland – its a pity because there is some entertainment value in the female cast.
Reap the Wild Wind (1942)
There are some good segments scattered throughout – Raymond Massey head and shoulders above the rest.
Kids (1995)
The screenplay looks pretty authentic. It raises the issues of Kids at a loose end, trying to fill in the days & nights, staying together for protection.Chloe is terrific but even after 2 viewings I still can't describe Leo Fitzpatrick's character.
Walking the Camino (Six Ways to Santiago) (2013)
A relaxing viewing – good scenery and the music isn't too bad.
