Edgier than GLEE, but still of the feel-good variety, the film benefits most from its comedic players (Rebel Wilson, in particular) and alternative musical numbers, which forgo polish and production for inventive harmonies and 'mash-ups' of atypical pop classics.

2 stars (Good Try) What lets this down is the music - the tunes are so bland - its a pity because there is some entertainment value in the female cast. ~Tubbs
