Deadpool (2016)
Another comic character fighting for attention in the crowded world of comic characters – tries hard to be comic but in that regard falls a little flat.
Mr. Deeds (2002)
Wild Bunch, The (1969)
A western with a difference and one that is well photographed. Two very good scenes but even during the lesser segments there is interest provided by some great character supporting actors. None of the characters however are worthy of sympathy.
Felon (2008)
The first half is good & would dissuade anyone from going to prison – the prisoners are the real deal or close to it (Making Of) & the fight scenes are well choreographed. The film falls off a bit toward the end but Dorff continues to be believable.
Drag Me To Hell (2009)
It relies too much on sound effects for its horror. As usual the make–up department do a good job.
Easy Riders, Raging Bulls (2003)
The film makers do well to bring together the different narrative streams of the directors being documented. The narrator capably fills in the background between the interviewees who are both entertaining & constructive & for the most part do not suck up.
Rem Koolhaas: A Kind of Architect (2008)
I Really Hate My Job (2007)
Very good casting but the plot idea doesn't really fire.
My Old Lady (2014)
Even with Maggie Smith on board the story soon wears thin and fails to hold attention.
Husbands and Wives (1992)
A talkie with uninteresting characters but there is a strong female cast who do their best with the material that's on offer.
