Psycho 2 (1983)
Well worth watching although I think it lost its way a little toward the end. Using the original house and being able to cast Anthony Perkins were big pluses.
Raven, The (2012)
The buried alive bits were fine but the acting was very ordinary. John Cusack usually does far better so maybe he was misdirected(?).
A Little Chaos (2014)
Kate Winslet once again holds her own among some pretty worthwhile acting talent. The romance doesn't slow the story telling too much although it does weaken a shade over the final stages. The ass licking court scenes are well done.
My Girl (1991)
Crucially the kids aren't too annoying and the adult cast is very good. There are one or two genuinely funny moments.
Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007)
A catchy tune and 3 endearing characters make it watchable. Lee is fine as the target.
Omen, The (Omen 666) (2006)
Not really necessary to remake but Thewlis and Pete P are always good to watch. It relies on sound effects and a heavy musical score to heighten the suspense (plus a bit of wet weather to add to the mood).
Night at the Museum 3:Secret of the Tomb (2014)
Even though it is a second sequel it is still worth a watch which is a compliment to the original plot idea.
Tomorrow, When the War Began (2010)
The characters let the film down – they don' t give the screenplay much of a chance.
For Your Eyes Only (1981)
Excellent stunt work and the set designs make it worthwhile.
Somebody to Love (1994)
More than useful cast which also includes Buscemi & Tucci – the film has some good moments but if it wasn't for Rosie P it would have fallen over long before it did.
