Lost World, The (Jurassic Park 2) (1997)
The creatures are well made but at the end of the day its just another film about creatures that would be better off without humans with or without guns.
Parts Per Billion (2014)
Even if the film doesn't set the world alight it should be complimented for at least having some freshness in its plot idea.
Someone to Watch Over Me (1987)
They didn't have the wit not to have a romance between Tom & Mimi – so predictable a plot. Great performance from Lorraine Bracco & Jerry Orbach has too little to do.
Skeleton Key (2005)
Sound effects & compulsory lightning add to the suspense but the scary atmosphere ain't special for us hardened horror fans. Highlight is the excellent set designs. Not sure that the quality actors Rowlands & Hurt were required for what they had to do.
King Arthur (2004)
The casting advertisement read "If you can't yell you need not apply". Ray Winstone in his element but Clive Owen reduced to making speeches.
Billy Madison (1995)
I'm no sure if there was meant to be more than one Madison character – if not then Sandler lost character a number of times. Jerry Lewis used to do this king of thing in good taste & with his eyes closed.
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009)
I've never seen Cage better – he's the right selection for the part. The highlight is when he tells another character to calm down – that knocked me back a bit.
Burnt (2015)
Of the many cooking films only a couple have been worthwhile. If they cooked things that you could eat that might generate some interest. In this one Cooper goes out of his way to be offensive and that is the only thing that succeeds.
No Escape (2015)
Some of the action sequences are filmed in slow motion to enhance the excitement. I don't how Wilson survived for so long – why didn't they aim for his nose?
Hard to Kill (1990)
It was exciting when Seagal was in a coma but routine mayhem otherwise.
