Straight Outta Compton (2015)
The musical segments are good but you need to be patient as they are interspersed among the beatings and other activities of life. The story telling would have benefited from more conciseness although it certainly has energy.
Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974)
A good comedy action adventure made all the better by having George Kennedy and Geoffrey Lewis in support.
Flim-Flam Man, The (1967)
aka "One Born Every Minute". A pretty useful cast.
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015)
Over familiar plot not helped by Mann getting more and more annoying as the film goes on.
Osmosis Jones (2001)
Clever script writing and entertaining animation.
Decision at Sundown (1957)
Compact story telling with a low body count for a western.
Splinterheads (2009)
Thomas Middleditch & Rachael Taylor form a good partnership. The comedy is based around some interesting characters & is uniformly good throughout.
Gift, The (2015)
Jason & Rebecca cleaning their teeth together is a dead give away that domestic bliss is about to be shattered. Watchable but at the end of the day the story doesn't offer a great deal that's new.
Sleeping with Other People (2015)
Nothing happens and if it did it wouldn't matter anyway with these tiresome characters.
Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004)
The glitter and extravagance is handled well although that side of things soon bored. Only real highlights are the performances of Hector Elizondo & John Rhys–Davies.
