Chinese Puzzle (2013)
The characters are made from the thinnest of paper and soon get tiresome. However there are some very good NY location shots but not enough for the film to hold the attention for very long & certainly not for two hours.
Comanche Station (1960)
A tightly written plot with one of the top western directors and actors.
Phenomenon (1996)
The plot idea is fine but I don't know why it needed to be so long.
Hotel New Hampshire (1984)
A real oddity – uneven but never boring – there is some acting talent enjoying themselves on a busman's holiday.
Man About Town (2006)
The script is only average and Affleck is not that great. Cleese the only real drawcard hardly appears.
Breezy (1973)
Watchable – the acting is fine but the romance is not really believable.
Ballers (TV Series) (2015)
Modest comedic material and characters.
Rooster Cogburn (1975)
The chatter between the two groaning old stars gets a bit tiresome and you wish they could be pushed aside so we could appreciate more the outstanding locations and photography.
Please Murder Me (Please Murder Me!) (1956)
Reasonable plot plus a good performance from Angela Lansbury.
Moth Diaries, The (2011)
Good production values – some interesting segments make it watchable.
