Navy Seals (1990)
Features Joanne Whalley–Kilmer – I don't know why – so it has one redeeming feature.
Focus (2015)- A remake in whole or in part – familiar scenarios.
Self/less (Selfless) (2015)- The plot idea is fine but as is quite normal with this type of film the action element dominates the more intelligent aspects of the story.
Night of the Creeps (1986)
Has a good start then has a modest middle section before climaxing well toward the end when the zombies come more to the fore. Simple but effective/enjoyable work by the make up department.
Arbor, The (2010)
Takes a while to ease into the film's style & understand whose who in the larger family relationship.Warts & all retelling of life's "problems" experienced particularly by daughter Lorraine. See "Rita, Sue and Bob Too" (1987) – its worthy of Mike Le
Paperboy, The (2012)- Worthy follow up to "Precious". Excellent casting if for nothing else Kidman out of character & though I suspected Cusack could act – not this well. Story is not special but its made more interesting than normally would be the case. Not Oscar material.
Underworld (2003)- The noisy special effects and the slick editing didn't give the story much of a chance of being appreciated.
Die Hard with a Vengeance (Die Hard 3) (1995)- The franchise has attracted two more quality actors in Irons and Jackson & they really do look to be enjoying being part of this action film which treats its violence in a light hearted manner. The stunt work is fine but the special effects are well worn.
Hurt Locker, The (2008)
- Didn't find the yelling/shouting scenes interesting but what was done well were the sniping & the depiction of the desert in particular as "why the hell are we here?" Characters 1 dimensional & I couldn't give a stuff if Renner blew himself up or not.

Beautiful (2009)- The photography makes is good to look at & helps make up for some of the deficiencies in plot.
