Grandes Manoeuvres, Les (1955)
These well healed characters are typically shallow and they aren't that interesting but although the script is not at the Oscar Wilde level it is good enough.
Owl and the Pussycat, The (1970)
If I remember this film it will be for Streisand's screeching voice (why would a singer risk damage?) – its a pity because although stagey it has some watchable segments.
Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (1985)
Uneven but never dull. The better segments are worth waiting for. Some excellent set designs and the photography is easy on the eye & in rich colours.
Lake Mungo (2008)
The characters and events are fictional. The plot follows an already well trodden path as a supernatural thriller.
Sci-Fi Boys, The (2006)
Too much on the amateur film making period of the current crop of film makers and although Willis O'Brien was mentioned I don't believe his ground breaking exploits eg. in "King Kong" (1933) received any attention – after all he influenced Harryhausen
Good Lie, The (2014)
Some lovely comedy touches without being disrespectful to the refugees. A story worthy of the telling.
Kingdom, The (2007)
If you like machine gun fire then this is for you.
Leave It to Beaver (1997)
A couple of good scenes make it worth a watch.
Laggies (2014)
The plot idea has some originality and the cast are pleasant enough but the characters don't really represent people you can relate to or care about.
Book of Life, The (2014)
Both the animation and the characters are very distinguishable. The colours used are very strong.
