Hole, The (2009)
A bit better than most of this sub–genre & has some scary bits which is unusual. Bruce Dern adds value.
Little Nicky (2001)
The plot idea is funny but it just needed a script that comedy actors could use and adult audiences appreciate.
Water Diviner, The (2014)
I didn't think it was possible to make a boring film with a WW1 theme. I knew we were in trouble when the beautiful Olga Kurylenko appeared.
High Crimes (2001)
The plot is not convincing – Ashley is fine but what makes the film watchable is the impressive (again) Morgan Freeman.
A Second Chance (2011)
The acting and story line will appeal more to the younger members but there are some good gymnastics for all ages.
Babette's Feast (1987)
The visit of the General is contrived. The feast is of little interest to those of us who enjoy fish & chips but the Norwegian shore location is beautiful & can be appreciated as can the wardrobe.Overall an interesting blend of bleakness & subtle humour.
Pitch Perfect 2 (2015)
No improvement in the musical numbers from the first outing.Pretty bland.
Anvil: The Story of Anvil (2008)
Didn't have much affect on me on a first viewing – will try again.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Charlize gets her hands dirty again but the story is very familiar and noisy.
Accidental Love (Nailed) (2015)
The story goes off the rails but its watchable for the excellent female support cast – Keener,Alley and D'Angelo.
