Sweet November (2001)
Give me the Charlize from "Monster" or "North Country" – not this one.
American Dreamz (2006)
Christ a comedy that's actually funny. Quaid is not playing his often smug character which helps. The satirical plot is a good one.
Kill Team, The (2013)
Sub titles would have helped as it is heavy on narrative. Hopefully some overall good will come out of this injustice.
Message in a Bottle (1999)
Dreamy to look at.The pace of the film suits Costner. Nothing much happens but its done very well.
Laws of Attraction (2004)
Not really worth 86 minutes but the two leads have good chemistry.
Almost Famous (2000)
Strange decision to assemble a pretty useful cast with good material and then deliver a portrayal of the music scene in the 70's that Disney couldn't have done any better. There are some nice performances with Frances McDormand the stand out as usual.
Hannibal (2001)
Pretty flat & lacks suspense – the length doesn't help – nor does the fact that we know Hannibal is the baddie from the off.
Project Almanac (2014)
Another one of those films that believes it needs a hand held cameraman as part of the action to increase the suspense.
Doomsday (2008)
Any good ideas that appear are soon squashed in the violence which is unrelenting and the film therefore doesn't hold your attention. The set designs are well done. Until McDowell appears the talented Bob Hoskins looks out of place.
Just Friends (2005)
All the characters are pleasant enough and the plot harmless enough.
