Run All Night (2015)
Neeson really needs to be careful not to be typecast as he has done a number of these pose with gun in hand roles – I make the same complaint about Denzel Washington – he can do much better.
Harvest, The (2013)
Not a bad attempt to break the mould. Better than a lot of films of its type but Samantha Morton was a bit too hysterical at times and as done much better.
Big Eyes (2014)
Richly photographed and the periodic props/set designs are spot on. Waltz is great as the male asshole but I couldn't think of a better casting choice than Amy Adams for her character.
Waterloo Bridge (1940)
It probably works well as a romantic film but there isn't much else.
Bridges of Madison County (1995)
Sedately paced. Meryl is fine as always but Clint is not the romantic type and anyway looks long past it.
AC/DC: Let There Be Rock (1979)
The concert is fine – the interviews of those not in the band a bit on the arse licking side but watchable.
Delirious (2006)
Watchable but it certainly works best when Buscemi is on screen.
Henry's Crime (2010)
Reeves plays a nice but slow up top guy very well but Farmiga takes the honours. A silly but enjoyable plot.
Face in the Crowd, A (1957)
The plot idea is very good but as presented it doesn't maintain interest over 2 hours.Patricia Neal is outstanding.
To Sir with Love (1966)
The material is very dated 50 years on and has a Hollywood feel to it. What makes it worth a watch though are the nostalgic street scenes and for Lulu's singing.
