High School Musical (2006)
The songs are not tuneful but no one has told the cast that who sing them with gusto. Unfortunately the kids have been Disneyfied but the dance numbers are very good.
Walking Tall (2004)
Nothing original to report on – follows formula which I suppose is okay if you want predictability.
Great Ziegfeld, The (1936)
Overlong biography but the dance numbers are at times top drawer and worth waiting for.
Police Story 3 (Supercop) (1992)
Usual mixture of comedy and mild violence and the stunts are pretty good.
Flame and the Arrow, The (1950)
Light costume entertainment with Burt with his annoying smile so you cheer for the baddies.
Transporter 2 (2005)
A good opening scene but not much else although Statham is a notch above most that could have been cast in his character.
Exodus - Gods and Kings (2014)
Being a biblical tale there is the usual quota of violence but the special effects are fine.
Four Rules, The (Search and Destroy) (1995)
A dream cast makes it watchable but it doesn't really work.
Uncle Buck (1989)
Although the script has its juvenile moments crucially the kids aren't irritating and John Candy makes it watchable.
Forget Paris (1995)
There is nothing to distinguish this from all the other rom/coms – both the leads have been in much better films.
