Destroy All Monsters! (1968): The rudimentary special effects add to the enjoyment – still very watchable.
Tall Men, The (1955): The romantic sub? plot drags the film down and lengthens it unnecessarily.The highlight is the dreamy and well photographed cattle drive sequences.
An American Haunting (2006): The noise effects are overdone and it suffers from being in a genre that's been thrashed to death. Its as good as most however, has good production values and is not too long.
Mule, The (2014): A single joke plot that soon wears thin and doesn't hold the attention.
D2: The Mighty Ducks (1994): A reasonable attempt to build on and make hay from the original.
State Fair (1945): Excellent musical and the background story is not too bad with some interesting supporting characters.; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
Insomnia (2002): Pacino, Swank and Donovan are a strong cast and perform well. The story is worthy of attention and there are some excellent locations.
Q: the Winged Serpent (1982): The "special effects" are most enjoyable. Moriarty lets his hair down.
Canyon Passage (1946): Excellent western with a little bit of this & a little bit of that – all the sub plots handled well. The photography uses its colours well.
Lovely Molly (2011): It tries hard to break out of the mold but doesn't really succeed – plenty of atmospheric noise effects.
