Casanova (2005)
An entertaining romp with an attractive cast and production values.
How the West Was Won (1962)
Probably not intended as a history lesson – you would hope – and it needs to be seen on the big screen for the photography to be fully appreciated.
Curse of the Dragon (1993)
An okay summary of Lee's life – the interviewees are not impartial but they are interesting all the same.rn
Big Deal (2021)
It is aimed at an Australian audience but it will be relevant at least in spirit to other countries with lobbyists.
Wushu - The Young Generation (2008)
A bit gimmicky but there are attempts at humour that help things along.
Great Expectations (1946)
The graveyard scene is a classic in my book but the downside is that it is very early in the film and everything that follows is an anticlimax but an anticlimax that is very well done.
Departed, The (2006)
It is half an hour too long because it has too many lead characters. This is apparent when it struggles to find an ending and in a panic massacres most of the remaining characters quick time.
Man in the Hat, The (2020)
It is a good idea but one that runs out of steam and, although Ciaran looks confused throughout, it doesn't stay the course. Beautifully photographed though.
Rocketman (2019)
The lead performance is believable and overall the dramatisation is entertaining both in its script and its musical segments. Elton is one of the Executive Producers.
Love (Love 3D) (2015)
The screenplay has its ups and downs.
