Hotel Splendide (1999): The first half is stronger than the second but the quality of the quality of the casting and the interesting set designs gets you through.
Man From Elysian Fields, The (2001): If there was a lead performer with a bit more life this would have helped the screenplay. However, there is talent in the three female performers led by Olivia Williams, and Jagger and Coburn could never be boring.
West Side Story (1961): The story is a bit simplistic but the dancing is great and does justice to the set designs.; DVD ~~$30~~ $20
Angel Mine (1979): A great soundtrack.
Came a Hot Friday (1985): 40 years on not aging too well except for the odd segment and the 80s location shooting.
Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead (2014): The mayhem is unrelenting.; DVD $24.95 | Blu-Ray $29.95
Mr. In-Between (The Killing Kind) (2001): The British do hard edged violence very well but there was little freshness in the screenplay. David Calder as usual was very good.
Mists of Avalon, The (2001): Anjelica had the strongest presence by far. She should have stood for President.
Youngblood (1986): Standard ice hockey drama.
American Flyers (1985): Grant struggled with his performance, the screenplay was soppy at times but there was some good Colorado location shooting.
