Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex, The (1939)
Bette Davis is fine.
Dodge City (1939)
Routine.
Bandolero! (1968)
Run of the mill western.
Where Eagles Dare (1969)
A now dated adventure which goes on forever. Not short of acting talent. Good photography.
Ringer, The (2005)
The material is questionable at best.I don't know what attracted Brian Cox to it – he's usually busy working in films.
Thief (1981)
Laudable attempt at realism in story and character. Top notch musical score.
Dracula Untold (2014)
Much the same as a lot of other Dracula films.
Tarzan and Jane (2002)
Nothing special but watchable.
Sugarland Express, The (1974)
It was probably okay in 74 but dated now and has nothing of note.
Face Off (1997)
The acting from the two leads is not too good and Cage is just silly at times – Joan Allen lends a bit of acting talent. The shoot outs between Cage and Travolta go on forever – they couldn't hit a barn door.
