Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex, The (1939): Bette Davis is fine.
Dodge City (1939): Routine.
Bandolero! (1968): Run of the mill western.
Where Eagles Dare (1969): A now dated adventure which goes on forever. Not short of acting talent. Good photography.
Ringer, The (2005): The material is questionable at best.I don't know what attracted Brian Cox to it – he's usually busy working in films.
Thief (1981): Laudable attempt at realism in story and character. Top notch musical score.
Dracula Untold (2014): Much the same as a lot of other Dracula films.
Tarzan and Jane (2002): Nothing special but watchable.
Sugarland Express, The (1974): It was probably okay in 74 but dated now and has nothing of note.
Face Off (1997): The acting from the two leads is not too good and Cage is just silly at times – Joan Allen lends a bit of acting talent. The shoot outs between Cage and Travolta go on forever – they couldn't hit a barn door.
