Kidnapped (1960): Disney were pretty good at this time with this kind of story.
Free Ride (2013): Not too bad and the good thing is that its not too long.
Ghostbusters (1984): Is standing the test of time and can be enjoyed more than once.
Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers (2002): The great make up work,particularly to the people dressed as trees,is the only relief from a killing every 2 minutes with a near death experience in between.
Blue Valentine (2010): Although nothing happens in this slice of life drama it is well acted.
Fried Green Tomatoes (Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe) (1991): The acting is fine as are the periodic details but it shoots itself in the foot by not knowing when to finish.; DVD $19.95 | Blu-Ray $24.95
Tom Horn (1980): The violence – which is well portrayed – soon bores but admire the locations shootings (joke). Farnsworth, Pickens and Geoffrey Lewis add interest.
Fury (2014): Tries to shock – american war crimes;running people and corpses over with tanks etc. – but its all been done before.
Never Been Kissed (1999): Another winning performance from Drew makes it worthwhile even if undemanding.
Running On Empty (1988): Although the story doesn't quite last the distance the acting of the female leads in particular is worth the watch.
