My Cousin Rachel (2017)
The screenplay was pretty dead other than for an occasional outburst from the leading characters when somebody stood on their toes if only metaphorically.
Rocket, The (2013)
A popular offering with a reasonable story and characters and even better shooting locations.
Ace in the Hole (The Big Carnival) (1951)
- Douglas is Douglas. Jan Sterling is very good as well & takes everything Douglas throws at her including a couple of smacks in the chops. The screenplay is solid & although the ending is a bit over dramatic it should last the test of time for a while yet.
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (How to Train Your Dragon 3) (2019)- A very consistent and entertaining series.
Chris Rock: Kill The Messenger (2008)- He gets a good reaction from his audience.
Blast from the Past (1999)- The first half, when Walken has more screen time, is better than the second but the entertaining plot idea does work thanks to the likeable cast and some good writing.
Never Ever (Circle of Passion) (1998)- Sandrine is in it.
Isola (Tajuu jinkaku shôjo) (2000)- It was okay but there are several familiar threads in the screenplay.
Everything Everywhere All At Once (2021)- End to end action but it all gets a bit overwhelming and repetitive. A shorter version would have been better but the production values are very good throughout.
Every Little Step (2008)- A decent enough documentary that includes plenty of dancing and dramas and sometimes both at once.
