Solaris (1972): The pacing of the scenes in the space station was a challenge but the interest of the basic storyline saved the day.
Ford v Ferrari (Le Mans '66) (2019): It is over long but it is well produced.
Alexander the Great (1956): I don't believe he was that great, based on other readings, more of a guy with personal issues. However, this does have a cast worthy of attention.
Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, The (2004): Cute. An undemanding watch.; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
Return to Paradise (1998): It was a good plot idea but the screenplay gets romantically sidetracked and is melodramatic in its final stages.
Innocence (2004): The photography both in light and dark was top rate and created alternately stunning visuals and then a sinister atmosphere. The material was fresh and I don't know how much coaching the kids playing the lead characters required but all were good.
Snow Angels (2007): An uplifting drama about winter, breakup, and loss.
Churchill: The Hollywood Years (2004): A mishmash of a cast but they only add to the interesting confusion of the screenplay.
Sabrina (1954): The screenplay is undemanding but well written, but the strength is in the casting of Audrey playing a young romantic with Bogart and Holden the old(er) men. Nothing wrong with the support casting either.
Electric Horseman, The (1979): An excellent director and there is nothing wrong with the casting but the screenplay just meanders.
