- Melancholia (2011)
- One of the best films I have watched. Absolutely recommend
- Duchess, The (2008)
- This film left me cold
- Swimming Pool (2003)
- One of the best films in my collection – subtle, with a small cast and often surreally acted. Well worth the watch
- Great Expectations (Mini-series) (1999)
- I wasn't thrilled with this – there are better adaptions of the novel. Rampling is always good to watch but disappoints as Miss Havesham
- Max Mon Amour (1986)
- I expected this film to be weird – it is, after all, about zoophilia. It wasn't weird, which probably made it even weirder. Definitely thought–provoking
- Angel Heart (1987)
- One of the best films I have in my collection – well worth the watch. Stellar performances from Rourke, De Niro and Rampling
- Orca (The Killer Whale) (1977)
- Good story, well written script, fine acting – especially subtle from Rampling. Some of the scenes involving the orca were particularly graphic and horrific. Probably necessary to prove the point at the time the film was made, but still hard to watch
- Farewell, My Lovely (1975)
- Well written script and superb acting
- Zardoz (1974)
- The review by Achilles – "Probably has the highest count of WTF moments of any movie I have yet seen" – is a pretty apt description.
- Asylum (House of Crazies) (1972)
- Good fun watching. Not really "horror" at all, which would suit those (like me) who don't enjoy being scared in a film
- Georgy Girl (1966)
- I was simply blown away by the sheer raw talent of a young Lynn Redgrave, Charlotte Rampling, and Alan Bates in this film
- Sherlock Holmes in New York (1976)
- good fun
