Aroview: A deserving winner of the Best Foreign Film Academy Award, this outstanding melodrama is based on the unique real-life story of Ramon Sampedro, who spent 28 years paralyzed after an accident, and campaigned publicly for his right to "die with dignity".
The miraculous Javier Bardem perfectly illustrates the struggle within, while the tides of drama compellingly brew through the relationships with his deeply conflicted family, friends and love interests. Taking an even-handed approach to its controversial subject, this focuses importantly on the human side of the story, one that attuned viewers will find both uplifting and profoundly moving.
