Corpse Bride
Aroview: An animated tour-de-force from dir. Burton which fuses spindley puppetry and subtle CGI for its mythic tale of a sallow young bridegroom who is practicing his marriage vows in the woods one day and becomes inadvertantly hitched to the corpse of a woman buried beneath the leaf mould.
Set in a small 19th century European village right out of a folktale, this explores a netherworld of rattling skeletons, murky swamps and the jealous undead with a strangely innocent freshness that is delightfully spooky and intricate for children and adults alike.

4 stars (Very Good) Some great scenes, such as Bojangles song, as well as an enjoyable quickly paced plot. ~dr.strangelove
4 stars (Very Good) Deightfully dark tale of love in a magical underworld, where Victor is whisked away from the world of the living where he's supposed to marry Victoria, to wed a spooky corpse bride. Extremely creative, for children and adults alike. ~GenXGirl
4 stars (Very Good) Stylistically it reminds me of the later "Coraline" (2009). An animation style that is a refreshing change. ~Tubbs
