Drugstore Cowboy
Aroview: A stylised yet vivid journey into the lives of a group of sympathetic, drug-addicted youths in the early '70s.
A high point in the career of actor Matt Dillon and dir. Van Sant, while William Burroughs makes a special appearance as a defrocked junkie priest.

4 stars (Very Good) Bob is one cool, hip, respected 70's drug dealer who, after the death of a close gang-member, decides to straighten out rather than stay on the run from the law forever. It's definitely not about glamourising junkies, though, there is a message in there ~GenXGirl
4 stars (Very Good) Wellington Film Festival 1990. Punchy realistic thriller about the adventures of a gang of junkies in Portland, Oregon. Worth seeing; even memorable. Acting of a high standard. ~Sandy
4 stars (Very Good) An excellent performance from Matt Dillon does good service to the well written screenplay. The camera work on some of the seedy parts of Portland also helps. ~Tubbs
