Shadows in the Sun
Aroview: A youthful literary editor from London (Jackson) is sent to Italy to track down a legendary reclusive writer (Keitel), esconced somewhere in the bucolic Tuscan countryside, in a plan to lure him out of retirement and back into writing.
True to the model of Italian-set Eurodramas, he not only finds his idol a tough (though rewarding) proposition, but also stumbles upon the life-wisdom and romance - in the form of Claire Forlani - he didn't know he was looking for. The now-patented glow of the Italian countryside beautifies the gentle comic effervescence of the story, in which atmosphere provides the most authentic dimension.
