Four Last Songs

Aroview: A group of British and other ex-pats in Mallocan, Spain decide to put on a piano recital in this fanciful mediterranean drama, with Rhys Ifans and Stanley Tucci headlining as musicians trying to reconcile their composing careers.

While themes may not receive full validation the acting is top-notch and the beautiful location casts its spell over the screen. The comedy spots fall away in the second half, leaving the complications of the relationships to unfold.
