Aroview: Notable Western-directed anime about two street kids defending their turf across a sprawling, fantastical cityscape.

Involving yakuza muscle and the chaos of urban life, this is a dark fable of opposing forces and imaginary worlds whose best character is the city of ‘Treasure Town’ itself: a multicolored, multistoried environment of labyrinthine alleyways and sprawling architecture. The animation itself is rough-edged and eccentric, providing a refreshing counterpoint to the current stream of clean-edged, CG-enhanced anime.
