Aroview: A gorgeous, understated paean to the transformative power of music, this unique, Irish independent follows the burgeoning relationship between a local busker boy and a Czech girl on the streets of musical capital, Dublin.
Generous to a fault toward the artistic process and the music performance itself, the mournful balladry of real life muso Glen Hansard forms the cornerstone of the drama, which depicts in intimate, unhurried, and almost documentary-like naturalism, the mutual nursing of two broken-hearts. Something of a must-see for music lovers.

5 stars (Exceptional) A sweet and genuine story, feeling at times almost like a documentary- in part due to the gritty handheld camerawork- with likeable characters and a moving story. Plus a great original musical soundtrack actually performed by the actors. ~Tom H
4 stars (Very Good) Basic but what more do you need? ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) Favourite film for 2008 ~atsophie
4 stars (Very Good) Fine sound quality and cinematography. The two main characters are very well-matched. Quite subtle and made with real talent. ~Sandy
