Aroview: Worthy, updated version of the cheeky Brit comedy set in a school of badly behaved misfits bent on saving their risqué educational institution from bankruptcy. This is at its strongest when it focuses on school high jinks; including some brilliant hockey game sequences complete with sharpened sticks and alcohol dependent teachers.
Rupert Everett in the dual roles of headmistress and Carnaby Fritton is a total scene-stealer and adds a much-needed dynamic wickedness. On the other hand, Mischa Barton (THE OC) in a handful of scenes is a casting-decision-gone-wrong as we are forced to endure her cringeworthy attempts at a private school accent. Ultimately, this funked-up adaptation works by taking the impishness of the original and glamming it up with a modern take on school allegiance, a saucier version of the moth-eaten school uniform, and a capable cast.

4 stars (Very Good) It complements the original classic well - the casting is spot on with Everett & Firth, who are vanity free, excellent. You get the impression from the "making of" that everyone enjoyed making it with the female cast having a ball. Watch the music video ~Tubbs
