Heavily laced with a winningly waggish sense of humour, not to mention surprisingly effective in the shock-inducing horror stakes, with LOTR’s Serkis and THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN’s Shearsmith cleverly working the odd-couple angle while their misfortunes multiply and the genres jump at will. For the faint-hearted it ain’t, but otherwise comes recommended to audiences in need of a sickening side-splitter.
