Grow Your Own
Aroview: Delightful, benevolent comedy sees an eccentric group of British gardeners have their carefree days of tending community plots interrupted by a multi-national mix of asylum seekers taking over one of the allotments.
Aided by a clever, topical script co-written by Frank Cottrell-Boyce (24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE) and a quality cast of curmudgeons, this can be forgiven for some deja-vu characters and a tendency towards over-ripe pathos, as it sows the seeds of acceptance with sincerity and down to earth charm.

3 stars (Good Enough) These British character actors you feel haven't had to stray too far from their roots. A light bitter but mostly sweet. ~Tubbs
